It's about time to introduce the Aber Team. We have become famous (or infamous) around UNIS. Going by many names such as: the secret seven, the seven wonders of Aberystwyth, that annoying British lot, and many more. We are all Masters students from Aberystwyth; a university town known for its astonishing sunsets... haven't seen one of those in a while.
The Team

This is Ryan, a legend in his own right. Seriously though, it's me! I like to think I'm a pretty fun person. This picture was taken during Aberystwyth super teams. A weekend where all the clubs get together and compete, being part of the archery team usually leaves us in... not winning place. After Svalbard I would like to do a PhD involving compact objects (Black holes, white dwarves, neutron stars).
This one is Miriam, a far more sensible human being. Also the other author of this blog. Aside from being the primary person keeping me out of trouble Miriam is also into Archery. She is an awesome crotchet-er, and also enjoys baking. Miriam's plan after finishing her Masters is to do a PhD in exoplanets. Far out! (haha)
Lloyd, possibly the most reserved (and therefore most respectable) member of team Aber. Although he doesn't have a blog, Lloyd has taken some breath taking pictures while we have been here.
Lloyds goal after Svalbard is to do a PhD in the field of space weather. He's one of the smartest people I know, so there's no doubt he'll do great!
The guy looking really eager to eat his burger is Jack. Jack has a blog: Astro in the Arctic.
This guy is the other brainy one in the group, although you wouldn't think it meeting him (Jokes :p). Jack is a good laugh and quite the adventurer. Jack is more focused on the sun, and wants to complete a PhD in Solar physics.

Next up is Lucy, she is the sportiest of the seven by one extra activity. Swimming! There's an indoor pool which lets us swim for free early in the mornings. After her degree Lucy plans on getting a job, maybe becoming a pilot! She has the world at her feet. Lucy also has her own blog, Geeks and Glaciers which is a fantastic read.

Kieran has indicated he wants to go into broadcasting after his degree. He does have the voice (and face :P ) for radio.

I couldn't ask to be up here with a better bunch of weirdos, we have had a great time and hopefully we have a lot more memories left to make!
